We Are Manchester Live: July

Wearemanchesterlive presents the best up and coming bands from the North West.
The Sewer Cats headline at Aatma!

Ferocious, fuzzy and feline-inclined… The Sewer Cats are an explosive Manchester-based hardcore punk duo delivering riotous tunes of patriarchy-smashing fury. Their short and snappy songs have been described as ‘catchy and scathing’, bursting with hooky riffs drenched in fuzz and aggressive riot-grrrl vocals, all served up with a big helping of sass.

Support from Blagged and Mud Club.

The Bad Wires + special guests

The Bad Wires are an upcoming 3 piece rock and roll band from Manchester, England. Their dirty, bluesy, guitar based tunes are heavily reminiscent of artists such as Jack White, The Black Keys and The Stooges. While managing to stay quintessentially British in their lyrical and vocal attack, there’s also a cinematic edge to their numbers that they credit to artist like Lana Del Rey and Arctic Monkeys, making The Bad Wires a band to definitely look out for in the future.

POPPYCOCK + Vee VV + Factory Acts + Billy North

Poppycock-Featuring Una Baines co-founder and member of The Fall’s original line-up.
Vee VV trade in Punk/Funk/electro vibes.
Factory Acts are SoS (aka Susan O’Shea, from Cork, Ireland) on vocals, synths and analogue digital devices, and Matt Davies covering bass, beats and magical mixes. Factory Acts was born following the accidental creation of a new sound, and a hastily written two song instrumental debut at the famous Salford Lad’s Club.
Billy North, following his recent earthquaking performance at Wire Club Leeds, will be serving up an equally irresistible diet of garage, breaks and jungle.
