Smokin Eskimo
In Your Ears Music is back bring another 3 brilliant bands to Manchester!

Plain Navy
Plain Navy are a 4 piece indie rock band from Saddleworth, Greater Manchester & are signed to 42’s
records.
They’ve recently released a single “Sun kissed melodies” a super catchy tune with a sunny summer vibe!
They are planning to release more new music soon & no doubt they will be showcasing some of their
new tunes at Aatma on 18/11….

Idle Noise
Idle Noise are an indie rock quartet from Coventry, taking influence from bands such as the Strokes, the
Vaccines & the Enemy.
Autumn 2023 sees Idle Noise heading out on a run of live dates across the UK, ready to showcase their
anthemic sound and upcoming releases to new audiences and cities.

Smokin Eskimo

Smokin Eskimo are a 4 piece band from Bilston, West Midlands. Combining a blend of blues & rock
styles, they cater for a wide range of listeners.
The band are heavily influenced by 60’s psychedelic rock and blues, 90’s britpop with a smattering of
jazz & funk. This gives Smokin Eskimo a multi-genre sound that doesn’t allow them to fall into one
specific category.

HMS Morris + Elin Grace and Sad Sells

HMS Morris are a bilingual, award-winning, female-fronted art-rock four-piece from Cardiff, Wales. Supported by the esteemed Bubblewrap Collective (Georgia Ruth, Boy Azooga, Buzzard Buzzard Buzzzard, Sweet Baboo), their first two critically acclaimed albums, ‘Interior Design’ and ‘Inspirational Talks,’ were both Welsh Music Prize nominees and variously described as ‘Innovative, forward thinking pop music’ (Earthly Pleasures), ‘strange and beautiful music’ (Electronic Sound) and a ‘multi-dimensional sound that traipses across hitherto unexplored regions of sound’ (Clash)’. They’ve earned a reputation for their innovative and multi-dimensional sound that pushes boundaries and explores uncharted territories.

They’re now still basking in the warm glow that accompanied the release of their third studio album, ‘Dollar Lizard Money Zombie,’ on September 15th this year. It is a playful repudiation of the worldview that reduces 99% of us to braindead money zombies, labouring for the glorious empires of a few giant dollar lizards. It is the first HMS album to feature Billy Morley and Iestyn Huw Jones on guitar and drums, and ranges from 50s cowboy sweetness to electro-metal madness, from rambling acoustic prog to the tightest of synth-pop ditties. The album takes listeners on a thought-provoking journey, infused with the band’s signature wit and humour, showcasing their ability to blend profound introspection with lighthearted storytelling.
Their mesmerising live performances have delighted audiences across the globe, gracing renowned festivals like Green Man, Glastonbury, Sŵn, Suns and Pop Montreal. Sharing the stage with acclaimed artists like Melin Melyn, Another Sky, Wooze, Songhoy Blues and Tricot, they leave a lasting impact on fans and fellow musicians alike.

With undeniable talent, dedication to their craft, and a growing international presence, HMS Morris offer innovative and forward-thinking pop music that resonates with listeners far and wide. Their latest album, ‘Dollar Lizard Money Zombie,’ marks a new era for the band, featuring a diverse range of sounds and an infectious energy that will undoubtedly captivate audiences on a whole new level.

Support for this event will be Elin Grace and Sad Sells.

NEW BLOOD UK TOUR 2023 WITH THE DEVIL AND THE UNIVERSE + DEAD LIGHTS & VANILLA SUGAR

DEVIL & THE UNIVERSE Biography:

Two cards selected from the 78-piece tarot card-set as utilised by the most famous occultist of the 20th century Aleister Crowley, were behind the first step. ”The Devil” and “The Universe” were the cards pulled that would prophesize a name for a musical-magical-transcendental composition & transformation project: THE DEVIL & THE UNIVERSE. The three goat-masked musicians set out to create an eclectic blend of styles, sounds and atmospheres. Tribal drums meet 80’s electronica, industrial beats merge with middle eastern percussions, soundtrack like atmospheres conjure up dreams of a future that never was. A dance ritual for a future past. An exercise in trance for a past yet to come. Thus far they have released 6 albums and numerous Eps and singles.

DEAD LIGHTS BIOGRAPHY:

Glamgoth? Cyberelectro? Industrial Dance? DEAD LIGHTS presents all of these and more as they mould modern EBM into catchy songs with surgical precision. Bass-heavy, buzzing magnetism with pummeling, yet groovy, mechanical rhythms, delivered with an ’80s UK synth-pop flair and an urgency that is tangible.
Founded in 2020, the international duo (UK and NL) immediately found themselves separated by the sea and a pandemic. Connected through a lust for dark electronic dance music, Saul and Richard still managed to make an impact with their output. Two years later they were finally able to meet in person and present their songs on stage. After their live premiere at Wave Gotik Treffen in 2022, they toured in Germany, the UK (with Zanias), and early 2023 they supported Front Line Assembly on 10 shows (EU), followed by several festival gigs in Europe.DEAD LIGHTS will release their new album ‘Glitterspit’ (Digi/CD/2LP on DarkTunes Music Group) on 13 October.
