Digitise Launch Night presenting the best in Digital DJing. Covering the spectrum of bass music and broken beats. Expect to hear Funky Breaks and Glitch Hop, Breaks and Electro House and Drum and Bass
Imagine Frank Sinatra having a sexual affair with a bass bin. Skank Spinatra is their illegitimate child. Behind the decks his entrancing bushy brows and twisted limbs combine into a funky fuelled banger extravaganza.
Eddie’s Debut track Hold Back has been well received by a number of names including Captain Flatcap, Basschimp and WBBL. One to watch for 2019 with a verity of releases planned for the Summer we’re excited to have Eddie representing Glitch Hop and Funky Breaks for Digitise.
Liohness B2B Ekkinz
Liohness is our mane girl with a love for all things 170+ bpm. She has been lighting smiles and making feet stomp in the local scene for the last 2 years. Last Summer was hot for Liohness, she played gigs at the Beatherder Festival and on the party island Ibiza. Viva la Fiesta! You can expect to take a euphoric sojourn on a tidal wave of percussive beats and rolling basslines. Expect banging jungle, well known anthems across the decades of d&b, wicked remixes, and straight up dance floor killers. Her sets are high energy, and may even
feature some scratching if you’re lucky 😉
Ekkinz represents Drum n bass with funk, bass and vibe. Expect to hear weighty beats fusing elements of liquid, jungle, rollers and halftime; always switching up the pace and style. In 2018 Ekkinz supported the likes of High Contrast and Dynamite MC, receiving high praise from all the ravers at the Highest Point Festival Official after party. Ekkinz also brought the vibes last year at the Jungle Sale held at Beatherder festival. This year his NYD19 mix is set to be featured in SEM’s mix of the month and Ekkinz is looking towards a good year featuring collaborations, radio time and productions as part of Manchesters vibrant Drum n bass scene.
DJ Bump(Classic Naughties Breaks Set)
Whilst not a household name, Bump has had residencies in London’s Shoreditch (We Have Fun; Glue) and co-run the event series “Sync’d”, also in London, before moving to the North West.
Bump has a record collection spanning more years than the rest of the line up put together making him the perfect man to take us from the dawn of breakbeat to the pinnacle of the golden years in a genre that has gone onto shape so much Dance Music. Expect to hear songs you’re instantly familiar with by a true expert DJ.
Dom James is all about Funky Beats and Funky Shirts. Having a large focus of his sets on energy and progression, Dom takes you from A-Z stopping at every niche Sub Genre a long the way. With an obsessive passion for the art of the mix, Dom blends records new and old while maintaining a level of fun to his sets that can often be lost.
Throughout 2018 Dom has spent a lot of time in the studio and is starting to reap the rewards with the likes of JFB using Dom’s Remix of The Chain in a scratch routine. 2019 brings more studio time for Dom working on more Remixes and creations of his own.
Terrabyte MC has been on the scene for many years, bringing fast, technical, conscious lyrics and a ridiculous party-starting attitude wherever he goes. Starting off providing mic duties for his band The Fire Beneath the Sea, and latterly performing with The Chicken Brothers and others, he has gigged up and down the country and smashed the festival circuit for years. He’s played alongside many big name artists (Ugly Duckling, Blackalicious, DJ Format, DJ Yoda, The Mouse Outfit etc), hosted the main stage at Beatherder and Solfest, and you’ve probably caught him playing or hosting stages at many other festivals around the UK, usually clad in lycra catsuits. Guaranteed to go off!
