Bug Hunter and The Narcissist Cookbook are touring Europe together as a one-two punch of impactful story-telling songwriters. Fresh off the second season of their hit podcast, Jam Mechanics, both performers are ready to get back in front of a live audience to play songs about airplanes, fungus, and ghosts.
SCHEDULE:
GA TICKET PRICE: $27
VIP TICKET PRICE: $60 (VIP includes GA/main show! You do not need both!)
It is a co-headlining tour. We can’t verify the order of the artists. We sometimes don’t decide who is going first until 20 minutes before the show starts. We apologize if this messes with your planning, but committing to an order ahead of time would drastically mess with ours!
We mix it up every night! Especially if back-to-back cities are reasonably close to each other. If you’re interested in following us around and coming to multiple shows, we do not put on the same show every night, so we encourage people to show-hop with us!
It grants you access to the show as well as early access to the venue before doors open. Bug Hunter and The Narcissist Cookbook will both play 2 extra songs and do a joint Q&A with the VIP audience. We’ll then be able to take pictures with everyone at VIP and have early access to merch (so you don’t have to wait in line after the show).
It’ll also allow you your choice of position in the room before we are joined by all our other guests for the larger show!
We sell merch ourselves after the show, so if you’re patient enough to wait in line for us, we try to stay and meet everyone who wants to meet us! We can’t take photos after the show, unfortunately. The line would just take too long. If you’re hoping for a group photo, we recommend getting a VIP ticket as we have time before the show with the smaller group of fans!
We have done our utmost to ensure most of our shows are accessible to everyone who wants to attend. This is the information we have from the venue regarding their accessibility:
Up one flight of stairs
If you are unsure or need assistance, please reach out to the venue via their website to get more information.
We have tried our best to find all-ages venues for this tour. This is the age policy for this show:
All Ages
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the venue! If they tell you something different than what we have above, please reach out to us (it’s probably a miscommunication and we’ll get it cleared up!)
Friendly reminder that even if the show is all-ages, we don’t guarantee the content will be suitable for children. Make sure to properly research both artists to be sure you’re comfortable with the content.
For this live music show, we have the pleasure of presenting a mixture of new and relatively new bands, ranging from acoustic punk to introspective folksy indie.
Over the last few months, Canopy have been secretly perfecting their line-up of songs. They have described themselves using the following words: Dreamy, Reflective, Mojave dreamscape, Kaleidoscopic, Colourful, Wistful. They promise to have music and jam snippets to share with you soon that should contextualise the above.
Indie band Lavender Minds are returning to Aatma after their debut show in June. Expect energetic and melodic guitars with catchy anthems from this fresh new band.
The Modalities are a duo who distil classic Mancunian indie with poetic insightfulness. The band have recently been releasing singles and promo videos, adding to a growing collection on their website www.themodalities.com. Check out the promo video for their most recent release, The Show Must Go On, below:
Acoustic punk Cloughster has been performing at various venues around Manchester these last few years, including our sister venue The Peer Hat. Check out all things Cloughster at www.instagram.com/cloughster_/

Come join this live gig in tribute to Beyond, a Cantopop rock band from Hong Kong that became prominent across Asia in the 80s. A founding member of the band, Mr William Tang, will be performing Beyond’s classic hits with locally-based Hongkonger band @gen03_mcr.
The evening will also include a salon talk where William will share stories of Beyond in the early days, and analyse an unreleased track by the late band leader Wong Ka Kui. Don’t miss this rare opportunity!
Early bird tickets are available from today at £10 (regular price £12) – reserve your tickets NOW! (link in bio):

Every now and then, fresh new bands find themselves rehearsing in the rehearsal rooms across the way at Aatma. A promoter or music biz body or other similar mysterious type happens to walk past their door and says: “Who are these guys? I’ve gotta put them on”. Such was the case a few weeks ago with 70’s trip rockers Eye of Bon and indie strummers Lavender Minds (now configured with a full band line-up), both of whom will be taking the Aatma stage on Saturday the 29th of June.
Joining them will be lofi indie pop band Purseweb. They have recently put together an EP, which will be launched this night.
Catch them before anyone else does!
Tickets £5 adv, £6 on the door.
