SHY FEST III

Platforming an eclectic grassroots plethora of punk, alternative, experimental DIY acts… SHY FEST IS BACK for a third installment, and we’re bigger and better than ever!

In honour of the great unsung hero of the early Manchester punk scene, Steve ‘ShyTalk’ Burke; and as showcased on Craig Charles’ daytime show on BBC Radio 6 Music in June 2024 (thanks, Craig!), SHY FEST is now presented across TWO of Manchester’s finest grassroots venues! We’re also dedicating this years’ event to our wonderful resident DJ Ste Doyle, and Paul ‘WAGS’ Wagstaff – both of whom passed away recently, having contrubuted so much to the events and will each be missed immensely.

PLEASE NOTE VENUE CHANGE: The Peer Hat on Faraday Street, and neighbouring venue Aaatma (just down the back alley and up the stairs) will be the places to find all the bands, poetry, spoken word, comedy and anything else.

Playing into the small hours for a proper Dirty Jam session, and if there’s any time left, this will be followed by a ShyFest Disco (DJs TBA) in honour of our great resident DJ, Steve ‘SonicDiary’ Doyle, who passed away at Christmas.
