Manchester it’s time to bring rap back to its roots!

For too long underground rappers turn up to open mics full of indie bands and singers, with no place to showcase their talent.

That’s why we’ve decided to Raise The Bar!

Rappers have got 9 minutes to shell it on the mic, impress the crowd and gain the chance to win a paid champion set at our next event.

You lot in the crowd, we haven’t forgot about you!

The first 10 people who turn up on the night will be offered the important role of being our judges and play an important part of selecting our next champion!

TRXXY will be kicking off year 3 for RTB and bringing his exceptional energy and vibes to the stage! We’re excited to see what he has in store for us!

And we can’t forget, last months winner FreshFlowz will be in the champion slot for his paid set after shutting down the open mic last month 🎤

And let’s not forget, the rap scene would not be the same without our producers so we gotta put them on.

We’ll have some on Manny’s top producers sending in some of their hardest beats to be used for the late night cypher with Diligent Fingers where anyone can pick up the mic and spray.

Cheap Dirty Horse & Myles Bullen (moved from The Peer Hat)

Art and Crime Promotions Presents: THE BANGERS AND MASH TOUR: Cheap Dirty Horse and Myles Bullen with support from Ceiling Demons, Rain McMey and Cloughster.

Cheap Dirty Horse are a big rowdy queer trash folk-punk band from Nottingham. Blending acoustic and electric guitar with banjo, accordion, bass, drums, and sometimes mandolin, they write energetic, joyful protest music. They sing about trans rights, dead billionaires, and the importance of doing the things you love. They sing about grief, washing machines, and stealing shit. Angry, but always empowering.

Myles Bullen is a rainbow-colored rapper whose performances capture playfulness, healing, grief, and recovery. Myles’ music is influenced by indie rock bands, underrated rappers, spoken word poets, and soft folk melodies. Myles has toured throughout 40 states in the US and parts of Europe performing at music venues, colleges, recovery centers, prisons, festivals, coffee shops, and opera houses. They have released several EPs, and multiple albums on the internet. Myles loves touring his music, breaking bread, ocean swimming, his dog Finn, and being vulnerable in front of living people.

Ceiling Demons are an alternative hip hop trio from North Yorkshire, England. The group first came together in 2011 to pay tribute to a lost friend, a theme that has permeated the music ever since.

Rain McMey (they/them) is an angry, queer, hippie, making music for other angry, queer, hippies. Punk ethos meets 60s Pop, unhinged political ramblings that your nan could sing along to. Fun for all the family, so long as your family are homosexual communists.

Cloughster is your favourite folk punk from Manchester. Political punk singer song writer blends fast paced acoustic punk anthems and intimate emotional moments.

He’s been making waves over the last year and we’ve had our eye on him for a while so we’re gassed to get him on our stage finally 💯

@ndoubleii will be in our Champions slot after earning his set by winning the open mic last month – and I’ve personally been told this one’s gonna be a mad one ☝🏾

Obviously we’ve got the open mic artists beforehand and the cypher afterwards for anyone else who wants to shell 🐚
