Midland Railway – The Dolly Shakes – Endings – Vice Vera

June 4, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Tickets: £5 (advance) and £6 (standard) via Skiddle.
Manchester-based Midland Railway plays a form of nerdy folk-punk influenced by the likes of Weezer, Bright Eyes and The Smiths.
The Dolly Shakes have played serveral gigs before, but this will be their first ever Manchester show with a full drum kit, so expect their songs to rock out in their full glory! Describing themselves as a DIY girl band, singing songs about cult TV shows, books and movies, they make noise with guitars, and sometimes play ukuleles.

Endings, an alternative emo band, will be playing their second-ever gig. Their first (also with Midland Railway, in April) was spectacular. They released an excellent debut EP earlier this year.
You can find them on Facebook and Instagram @EndingsMusic.
Their EP is available to stream now on Spotify and various other streaming platforms.
Vice Vera recently opened for Evil Blizzard at Manchester Academy 3, and there could be no better opening act for this night either. She describes herself: VICE VERA, a solo-wailing banshee wrestling an off-kilter guitar. Searching vocal melodies, percussive textures and loop trickery create an insistent, joyous and confrontational sonic landscape.
